OUR MISSION
SMT Ministries exists to equip the saints for the work of ministry and building up the body of Jesus Christ.
Through our fivefold ministry, we operate to introduce and spread the gospel to our local communities and individuals all over the world. We identify and engage members of the body of Christ for the advancement of Gods Kingdom and create opportunities for more souls to be won, expanding the dwelling rooms of Heaven. We value the relationships we build and the lives that are changed through the Spirit and Truth of Christ, and seek to continually grow in His word and in His love.
We believe that being called and set apart by God meansthat we should set out to worship Him in spirit and in truth,and in EXCELLENCE in all that we do.
We are here to help spread the gospel across all nations andshare in service with the members of the body of Christ untilwe all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge ofthe Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of thestature of the fullness of Christ.

Creating Service That Fits Real Life:
We're not meant to do ministry alone. That's why we're linking arms with local ministries-food banks, youth programs, homeless outreach teams-who share our heartbeat for the Kingdom. We're creating a digital hub where ministries can post needs and events, and where young adults can jump in and serve. Plus, we're making space for real relationships to form-through quarterly mixers and summits where leaders and volunteers can connect face-to-face. This is what unity in the Body looks like (Ephesians 4:13).
We know life is busy-but serving Jesus doesn't have to be complicated. Our monthly outreach events, seasonal 'Serve Days', and micro-missions are designed for young adults to step into meaningful action, even on a packed schedule. These opportunities and events are more than volunteer opportunities-they're a way to worship in excellence (Colossians 3:23) and grow in love and purpose together.

Developing Leaders, Multiplying Disciples, Celebrating Growth:
We partner with local ministries to reach the lost directly. Through ministry internships, fellowships, and peer ambassador roles, we empower young adults to activate their peers and explore calling even before entering the workforce or grad school. It's all about equipping the saints (Ephesians 4:11-12) and showing that ministry isn't a sideline- it's a lifestyle.
Duplicating our ministry model in other communities led by local leaders means we’re duplicating disciples and therefore dwelling rooms of heaven, uniting the body of Christ across the globe. Leadership is learned by doing. That's why we train young adults to lead teams, run projects, and grow in confidence. We keep it simple, relational, and grounded in the Word. Then we recognize their work-through shout-outs, digital badges, and a celebration night that honors all God's done. Because growth in Christ deserves to be seen (2 Peter 3) and celebrated together.

Keeping It All About Relationships & Discipleship:
At the end of the day, it's not just what we do-it's who we're becoming. We encourage you to go deeper with Christ, invite you join a disciple program (we have one that meets every week!) We're building a culture of belonging where friends become family, and discipleship happens naturally. Because growth in love is just as important as growth in knowledge
(1 John 4:7-16).

The Word of God
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, the final source of truth for faith, life, and godliness. It is alive, powerful, and able to transform lives.

Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

The Blessed Hope

The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all who confess Jesus as Lord and Savior. We are called to gather in unity, grow in maturity, serve in love, and go into the world as His witnesses.

Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by works but received by repentance and trust in Him.

The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit who indwells, empowers, guides, teaches, and equips believers for victorious living and service. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as promised in Scripture, releasing spiritual gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ.

The SMT Collective is a collaborative network of individuals, organizations, businesses, and churches united by one mission: to make Jesus known and bring His light to a hurting world. Together, we steward our God-given gifts and resources to serve our local communities, meet real needs, and create opportunities for transformation.
By linking arms across ministries, professions, and industries, we amplify our impact—reaching the lost with the gospel, strengthening the Body of Christ, and advancing the Kingdom. The Collective is more than a partnership; it’s a movement of believers working in excellence, unity, and love to see lives changed for eternity.

RootCrew is a weekly virtual discipleship gathering created for individuals seeking to grow deeper in their faith in a connected, consistent community. It’s designed to help participants stay rooted in Christ, Scripture, and real-life application—especially amid the pressures of everyday life.
RootCrew emphasizes steady, authentic discipleship over performance or perfection. The goal is to cultivate a rooted life in Christ—grounded in truth, resilient through challenges, and reflective of Jesus in daily living.
Whether you’re new to faith or looking to deepen your walk with God, RootCrew invites you to come as you are—questions, doubts, and all.
DOC (Disciples of Christ) Initiative
The DOC Initiative is a micro-mission of SMT Ministries, born from the Great Commission and our heart to see disciples made in every community. Through this initiative, we carry the framework of SMT—equipping, empowering, and connecting believers—into communities across the globe. Our goal is to duplicate the ministry model God has entrusted to us, planting hubs of faith where the Body of Christ can gather, grow, and serve together.
Each DOC Initiative site, or local Chapter, becomes a space for worship, discipleship, and Kingdom collaboration—where everyday believers are activated in their callings and communities are transformed by the love of Christ. By raising up leaders and building bridges across ministries, the DOC Initiative seeks to expand the reach of the Gospel and strengthen the unity of God’s people, one community at a time.

Misty Whitlock, aka “Sweet Miss Tea”, is the visionary founder of SMT Ministries. Known for her genuine heart, prophetic insight, and bold faith, Misty has devoted her life to equipping the saints, building up the Body, and advancing the Kingdom of God.
Her journey is one marked by redemption, surrender, and obedience. Through her own testimony, Misty has discovered the transforming power of God’s love and truth — and she carries a deep desire to help others
encounter the same. Whether teaching, leading, or serving, she creates spaces where people can truly taste and see that the Lord is good.
In addition to her role at SMT Ministries, Misty is an author, influencer, philanthropist, and marketplace leader. She uses every platform entrusted to her — from media to mentorship — to inspire, empower, and activate others in their divine callings. Her work bridges the church and the marketplace, proving that excellence in faith is not limited to the pulpit but belongs in every sphere of influence.
Above all, Misty believes in the power of community, discipleship, and Spirit-led leadership. Through SMT Ministries, her mission is to see lives transformed, ministries strengthened, and Kingdom culture advanced
